Novel analysis: the pretenders

Honestly I did not finished reading the novel not because I am bored of this book but i started reading it late. Even if I did not finished the novel I listen to the reports of other.
Base in what I understand and some research: Tony went to U.S. and lift Emy her cousin but Tony did not know that her cousin emy was pregnant with pepe( soon become a drug pusher and get relationship with Lucy the housemaid of his aunt Betty and Uncle Bert. ) then when Tony return in the Philippines he met Carmen the daughter of Don Manuel. Don Manuel shows Tony how to buy people.
Tony barely protest: he accepts a position with the villas and goes along with shady business plans. Don Manuel proves his point when he shows Tony a canceled check made out to a magazine journalist whom Tony regards as a man of integrity. almost simultaneously, Tony realize that Carmen has lost respect for him and is having an affair

You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough
Hum014(class essay)
Boring, waste of time, etc. that are the first idea that comes out of my mind, because i know that we will be reading many poem, short stories, and novels, I do not really love reading, but slowly i appreciate the true meaning of literature.

Hum014 section A14. I enjoyed this class because of the persons that complete and made the classroom more colorful. I met new friends and a professor that willing to understand (Psipsip joke).
I remember when Meg starts to speak the room suddenly become quite and the boys in the back including me listen to her, and I remember the comedians in the room Andro and Noel the combination of this two made everyone happy, the late lady jen, hehehe. this are some of the unique persons that Section A14 was compose off.

-Old and Good Friends Share a Piece

Old and good friends share a piece
Of passion, pain, and pleasure
That no one else, no family can
Begin to know or treasure.
It's as if a secret room
Held their private store,
And every time they met, they could
Go through some special door.

It doesn't matter if they see
Each other every day,
Or years and years go by before
They come and go away:

The moment that they meet it all
Is there--the memories of
Fierce loyalty and times of need
And gratitude and love.

The short story of servant girl by Estrella D. Alfon was about a girl that experience bad thing in her mistress, but aside of that rosa still patient and obedient to her mistress. This situation was common in the past but i don't think it still happening in the present in that way.

The story was about how the rich or upper class looks in poor people. I don't think being unkind to a servant is a good way because i know every human is equal.

Optical illusion

For me Literature is like an optical illusion because people interpret it in different way what that artist or writer constructed it. It form a new image for reader and try to understand in his or her way of thinking. Sometimes a writer puts many ideas in that work he/she made and combine to create a master piece. Just like the image.
